Travel Advice
We recommend guests arrive at the boats by train or coach travel - all our points of departure being particularly planned to fit in with major railway and coach stations that have frequent direct services from most areas of the country. With the confirmation of your booking, we will send detailed instructions of how to find your cruise start location.
As an additional service this year, at the beginning and end of your cruise a courtesy taxi service will now be provided between the nearest main line railway station and the boats. In this way we hope to help make your journey to the boats as carefree as possible.
On arrival, you must be at the relevant station for your cruise at 4.30pm, when you will be met by one of our representatives. Of course, if you wish to arrive early to explore, then you are more than welcome to make your own arrangements and drop your bags off early.
On the morning of your departure, we will arrange transport to leave the boats at 9.30am.
Car parking can be arranged at some of our arrival / departure locations if requested well in advance - preferably at the time of booking (see Conditions of Booking).
We are happy to obtain quotes for 'door to door' transport from or to your home, hotel or airport. As well as being more convenient, this may be more economical than you think, particularly for groups of two or more guests.
Please do not hesitate to contact us for advice on any aspect of your travel. We are a small family run business and pride ourselves on the personal attention we give to each individual guest. The boats are our office, so you can phone us direct at any time, even out of normal office hours, including weekends.
Booking Advice
As we are only able to carry a small number of guests on each cruise, you are advised to book early, especially if you have your heart set on a particular cruise or date. If you can only decide at the last moment, it is always worthwhile phoning to ask if we still have cabins available. We are more than happy to correspond by phone and email, both are on board, so you can speak to us personally any day of the week up to 8pm UK time. We will be glad to answer any query, no matter how small, and you need feel under no obligation when enquiring about cabin availability.
To reserve a cabin, please telephone or e-mail us first to confirm availability. Once a booking is provisionally reserved we ask that you confirm with a completed booking form and deposit within 14 days. The booking form can be downloaded here. The balance of the booking fee is due eight weeks before the start of the cruise date. Payment in full will be required for holidays booked less than 8 weeks before the start date Full joining instructions and confirmation of booking will be sent once the deposit is confirmed.
If calling from overseas, the same conditions apply.
Please Note: Canal Voyagers Limited complies with the E.E.C. Package Travel Directive. Your holiday monies are safeguarded. Under English Law, once a booking has been confirmed, you are legally bound to pay the total amount due, not just the deposit.
Payment Options
We accept payments via Credit Card (1), Cheque (2), Postal Order and Bank Transfer (3).
1.Credit Card – Credit card transactions can be made online or over the phone. After confirming your order in person (by email or phone) we will send you an email invoice with a link to a secure site for payment.
2.Cheque – If the deposit is paid via cheque we ask that the final balance be settled by cheque. Cheques should be made payable to CANAL VOYAGERS LIMITED.
3.Postal Orders & Bank Transfers - If you would prefer to pay by postal order or bank transfer, please contact us to discuss the payment process.

From Overseas
We accept online payment in a number of currencies,

If you would like to be invoiced in a currency other than Pounds Sterling, please let us know when making the initial reservation. You can also pay by Sterling bank draft or international cheque.
If you are booking by credit card from overseas, please note that many card issuers (especially in the USA) have, quite rightly, strict security measures connected to payments overseas such that we often can not process credit cards until the holder has contacted their card issuer. Therefore, please contact your card issuer before you send us details of your credit card to inform them to expect a transaction from Britain from Canal Voyagers Limited for the amount you will be paying. This should ensure your booking goes through smoothly.

The secure website used for credit card transactions is provided by PayPal, an industry-leading secure system. There are no charges for this type of payment transaction. PayPal will authorize, accept and processes the payment instantaneously, accepting many payment types, including:
