What makes a hotel boat cruise?

A hotel boat holiday is great for couples, singles, stressed executives & minions, seniors, groups; just about anyone who wants to relax and be pampered in pleasant surroundings. It's a perfect antidote to busy jobs and today's frantic pace of life. Your company on a hotel boat holiday may be pleasant like-minded fellow passengers, or you could have the hotel boat and crew to yourself, or shared with your friends and family. It’s ideal if you don’t want to be physically active, or if you are travelling alone, or if you just like to be looked after on holidays! It’s not a holiday for family groups as we cannot accept small children, unless you charter a whole hotel boat (or half of the pair) which can be ideal for a larger group.

You may be floating at a leisurely pace through the hidden countryside or sampling the local beers at a canalside pub. You may choose to practice a favourite hobby like photography, painting or bird-watching, to help out with locks and swing-bridges, to keep fit by walking towpaths and country lanes or even jogging alongside the boat - or just relax with a favourite book! All the steering and lock work is done by the crew who are pleased to let you help if you wish. The routes are specially picked for their interest and accessibility. You can of course walk the towpath whenever you like rather than ride on the boat.

An 'All Inclusive' Holiday

  All our cruises now include transport to and from the nearest mainline railway station, taking the worry out of finding the boats and carrying heavy bags across an unfamiliar town or city. Car parking can also be arranged at some departure/destination points (additional charge).
• Dining
  All meals and snacks on board included as part of the cruise.
  
• Drinks
  A completmentary glass of wine is offered at dinner, along with soft drinks, tea and coffee at all times. Other alcoholic beverages are available from our on board bar at additional cost.

Our welcoming crew, including owners Corinne and Neil, provide you with a standard of service rarely found in the current age of mass travel and over-subscribed tours. A keen attention to detail, consummate skill (in the kitchen and on the tiller), and friendly but unobtrusive service bring our customers back time after time.

Solo travellers soon feel at ease and will receive a very warm welcome. Dine with fellow travellers and spend summer evenings chatting to people with a common interest. Alternatively, spend time with a good book in a quiet corner -we have a well stocked on-board library. Whatever your approach to relaxation, enjoy the freedom to do as you choose.
